Yesterday at Bath we celebrated our 20th winner of the year as MIA TESORO won for the fourth time in a row under a fantastic ride from Shayne Kelly. MIA TESORO’S progress this year has been nothing short of remarkable and judging on yesterday’s win she may still not be finished. Coming up we’ve got some more interesting runners with yard favourite BUCKLAND BEAU returning to the all-weather at Chelmsford this evening, where we are hoping to put two efforts below par on the turf behind him. Jamie Spencer takes the ride on a horse that is perfectly suited to his riding style.
Tomorrow MOONLIT SHOW heads to Haydock where she bids to build on two promises runs at Windsor and Wolverhampton, I’m not convinced we saw the best of Peter O’ Callaghan’s filly last time out and I’m expecting a much bigger performance tomorrow.
And on a final note – a huge thank you to my lads. To have celebrated our 20th winner by the end of August is nothing short of remarkable and huge credit must go to my team who have kept the highest standards in a very challenging year for racing as a whole. With two months still left to go and a 24% strake rate who knows where we could end up?!
