Hajaj Continues the Winning Streak

The yard celebrated another two year old winner on Sunday as HAJAJ took the valuable seven furlong maiden at Chelmsford City Racecourse. Having only made his debut last Friday at Newmarket he was particularly green that day and I was keen to run him again quickly while it was all fresh in his memory. Given a beautiful ride by Stevie Donohoe he hit the front a furlong from home and never looked like getting caught. There are no immediate plans for this well bred son of DARK ANGEL but he will make a lovely three year old and stay further in time. Elsewhere CAROLINAE was slightly disappointing on the same card but she took a bump early on in the race and was far too keen to give herself any chance of finishing the race strongly. She will be much better back on turf and possibly over slightly shorter.

This week ZAIN ARION runs at Newbury having been flattened at Kempton last week, you can put a line through that run and I am confident of a big run from her on Tuesday evening. TWIN POINT might head to Leicester on Thursday. He won cosily last time at Yarmouth and looks to be a horse on the upgrade. We also have CHIEFOFCHIEFS at Newmarket on Friday, he made a really encouraging debut at Newmarket three weeks ago and is a horse I've been really looking forward to running again - he's a lovely big type who is only going to improve with age

As for me, I will be heading to Doncaster sales tomorrow where we are hoping to stock up on some yearlings. I'm aiming to put some partnerships together so please do get in contact for more information on how you could get involved. So far we have bought three yearlings for syndication to date; WET SAIL (OR 102), ENDLESS ACRES (very promising stayer) and HIGH ON LOVE (ran at Royal Ascot)

Last but by no means least a special mention for my head lad Derek who is currently in hospital - he is an integral part of the team at St Gatien and we are all wishing him a speedy recovery
